Marci Shore, currently professor of European intellectual history at Yale University, will begin teaching at the Munk School for Global Affairs at the University of Toronto this fall. Her work focuses on Eastern Europe and the history of totalitarianism. She just returned from Ukraine, where she guest curated, together with Oksana Forostyna, the Kyiv Book Arsenal with the theme “Everything is Translation.”
Nora Benavidez is a civil rights and free speech lawyer in Los Angeles, USA. She is a director of digital justice and civil rights at the think tank Free Press, with a background fighting disinformation, surveillance, and threats to democratic engagement. She is closely involved in the current protests in LA.
Jakub Majmurek is a well-known Polish film expert, essayist, and publicist who regularly publishes for the Krytyka Polityczna network and major Polish newspapers. He particularly observes the role of masculinity in politically right-wing movements in Poland and the USA.
