With: – Ola Rifai is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Syrian Studies at the University of St. Andrew. Her research focuses on the international politics of the Middle East, including nationalism, sectarianism, and ethnic conflict. – Salam Said is a researcher, policy adviser, and economist. Her focus lies on post-war economic reconstruction and early recovery in Syria. – Bayan Anouz is a doctoral candidate in political science at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg, where she conducts research on the Syrian diaspora in Germany. She is also an educational scientist specialising in migration and education and a lecturer in social work at the International University Bremen. – Ammar Azzouz is a Research Fellow at the School of Geography and the Environment, at the University of Oxford.
